Protein waffles?! SIGN ME UP! I’m all about that brunch life, so naturally I had to come up with a protein waffle recipe! After trying COUNTLESS protein pancake recipes and having them totally disintegrate for me; I knew their had to be a better way! Thus the protein waffle was created! PLUS for my portion fix peeps, this is 1 Yellow, 1 Red & 1 teaspoon (be sure to count your toppings too!) But for real, let’s get to the recipe you HAVE GOT TO TRY THIS!
The Best Protein Waffles
1/2 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk
1 scoop Vanilla Protein Powder (I use Orgain’s Vegan Protein Powder)
Your Choice of Toppings: Whipped Cream, Peanut Butter, Fresh Fruit, Maple Syrup, Cinnamon, Honey, etc.
In a medium sized bowl add all the ingredients and blend WELL! Just when you think it’s blended totally, blend a bit more! Then heat up your waffle iron, and spray with nonstick spray, and add the batter to the waffle iron, this should make one regular sized waffle! Follow the waffle iron’s instructions and remove when it is fully cooked; usually 2-3 minutes (roughly). Put the waffle on a plate, add your choice of toppings and ENJOY!
